Nantahala Cascade

Height: 10 feet
Trail Type: Rocke
Hike Distance: None
Difficulty: 1
Beauty: 5

Overview:

I don’t know if the Nantahala Cascade is actually an official waterfall, but it’s significant enough that if you’re traveling on Wayah Road and stopping at Jagged Rock and Whiteoak Falls, you should stop here too. This is near the end of Wayah Road and just upstream from where all the whitewater rafting starts. It’s really one of the nicest areas in the state.

Directions:

From Whiteoak Falls, the cascades are .3 miles downstream. There’s a large parking area on the river side of the road with a kayak put-in.
