Height: 35 feet
Trail Type: Dirt
Hike Distance: 0.6 miles round trip
Difficulty: 7
Beauty: 5
Overview:
Although it’s not as scenic as Upper DeSoto Falls, Lower DeSoto Falls is still worth a look since you’re in the area. The falls begin as a short free fall before cascading a few feet to a second free fall and sliding down out of sight.
Directions:
Same as for Upper DeSoto Falls, but instead you go left at the sign on the other side of the bridge over Frogtown Creek.
Hike Description:
The hike ascends up a couple of modestly steep switchbacks before leveling out and ending at a wooden viewing platform at the base.
