Height: 300 feet?
Trail Type: Asphalt
Hike Distance: None
Difficulty: 0
Beauty: 2
Overview:
Like Glassmine Falls, your best view of this waterfall will be from an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, specifically the Mt. Lynn Lowry Overlook, likely only in the winter (that thin white strip in the photo above is what you’ll get). However, a couple of overlooks down, you can see the start of the waterfall before it runs beneath the parkway and continues its slide down the mountain.
Directions:
From Cherokee, head north on US 19 past Soco Falls and get on the Blue Ridge Parkway toward Waynesville/Asheville. Drive roughly 9 miles to the Woodfin Cascades Overlook on the right. The top of the falls, seen below, will be across the road. For the full view of the falls in the above picture, drive another 2 miles to the Mt. Lynn Lowry Overlook.
