Height: 80 feet
Trail Type: Dirt
Hike Distance: 2 miles
Difficulty: 9
Beauty: 5
Overview:
Drift Falls is the final waterfall along the trail to Rainbow Falls. It’s a big, long slide that would be an incredible spot if you could get close to it. The problem is that the trail ends several hundred yards from the base, and the property owner is adamant about keeping people off his property. The area is regularly patrolled for trespassers.
Directions:
Same as for Upper Bearwallow Falls. When you arrive at the visitor’s center, stay straight and drive to the obvious parking area on the left.
Hike Description:
From Rainbow Falls, the trail continues upstream for about a half-mile to the end. From there, you can try rock hopping around the river to get a better view.
