Toms Spring Falls

Height: 100 feet
Trail Type: Gravel
Hike Distance: 0.95 miles round trip
Difficulty: 2
Beauty: 8

Overview:

I’m not sure how Toms Spring Falls isn’t more popular than it is considering how big it is and how easy it is to get to. The problem, I guess, is that nearby Looking Glass Falls is much easier to get to and is probably more consistent in terms of flow. Toms Spring (also known as Jackson Falls and Daniel Ridge Falls) is massive and slides down several smooth ledges.

Directions:

From the intersection of US 64 and US 276 in Brevard, head north on US 276 for 5.3 miles and turn left where the road splits onto FR 475. Take the left split and drive another 4 miles (the road changes to gravel along the way) and park in the obvious parking area.

Hike Description:

The Daniel Ridge Loop Trail starts out level and on gravel. Shortly after crossing a nice bridge over the creek, the trail splits. Head to the right and ascend the slight hill to the falls.
