East Fork Falls

East Fork

Height: 15 feet
Trail Type: Dirt
Hike Distance: A few dozen yards
Difficulty: 4
Beauty: 7

Overview:

East Fork Falls might be one of the Brevard area’s better kept secrets, mainly because the taller waterfalls in the area get more attention. However, if you’re looking for a great swimming hole, East Fork Falls is your spot.

Directions:

From the intersection of US 64 and US 276 in downtown Brevard, head south on US 276 for 7.5 miles and turn left onto East Fork Road. Drive another 5.8 miles to the pulloff on the left side.

Hike Description:

The trail starts on the front end of the pulloff and slowly descends down to the bank of the East Fork French Broad River. After a couple of slightly steep drops, you’ll reach a rock ledge to get out onto the river to view the falls and the large pool beyond it.
